If you need a Studio to do your professional portrait or
product work, we've got an affordable option that you can easily build into the fees you
charge your clients.
We now have a professional
studio available for rental. The studio available is over 18 feet X 22 feet with a very tall
ceiling. Ladders are available for doing high angle shooting and to accommodate shooting
larger groups of people.
The studio is located at 2300 East Douglas, Suite 16,
Wichita, KS 67214. We are located in the Wichita Photographer's Co-op in the North
side of
the Douglas Photographic Imaging building at the corner of Spruce and Douglas (directly
across from the East High School main entrance). There's a parking lot with ample
parking on the north side of our building ( just outside the studio door ).
Lighting, backdrops and props are available for your use and
are included in the studio rental fee. A dressing room is available for your client / model's convenience.
The studio rents for $75 per hour.
If you have no lighting experience you can rent the studio and have
assistance with light metering and setup for your subject at a rate of $100 per hour.
You may also rent
the studio for a day1 rate of $550.
If you need to shoot in the same setup
for multiple days, you can put the studio on "hold-over"
for just $100 per night. This will have the studio kept in your setup so
you will be able to come in and shoot the next day without any setup.3
All Studio Rental is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY2 and is charged in 1 hour increments with a 2 hour minimum charge.4

Please read all of the notes below,
they are IMPORTANT! |
For more details or to reserve a studio
Call 316-990-0818 or send E-Mail to: studiorental@jrcowell.com
 | All studio rental must be paid in advance to assure your
scheduled time in the studio. |
 | Because of the time necessary to reset the studio for
other users you must schedule the amount of time that you need the studio. You will be
required to pay for all of the time that you have scheduled. |
 | We do this to make the studio available to other users
without leaving large amounts of downtime. |
 | If you need extra time while doing your shoot, you may
purchase it while you are there, provided the studio is not already reserved. |
 | You must reserve the studio at least 3 days in advance of
your need and make payment at that time. |
¹ Day rental is for a 9 hour window of
time. You will be required to break for 1 hour. Other hours may be arranged on a special
needs basis.
² Our insurance and leasing arrangement requires
that our representative be present at all times the studio is in use and we must supervise
the movement and use of all equipment props and backgrounds for the shoot. We will be available to assist with
backdrop changes, lighting changes, prop moving and other general assistance like holding
reflectors. We are there to ASSIST you in your shoot, not to manage or direct your shoot. If
you have questions about creative suggestions we will be happy to offer our opinions.
³
Hold-over is not available if the studio
has been previously rented during any of the over-night hours involved. Therefore hold-over
is only available on a 'if available' basis. Hold-over is only available with consecutive days of studio rental. You may however
rent the studio to do setup the afternoon or evening prior to your shoot and then put it on
hold-over. 4
Setup is charged against your rental
time. If you need an hour to setup for your shoot you must book that hour as a part of
your rental.
